ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leadership on Friday grant Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif authority to nominate caretaker Prime Minister, ARY News reported.

According to the details, a meeting was held between the heads of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) regarding the nomination of a caretaker setup under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The meeting was attended by PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Aftab Minhas, along with federal ministers. During the meeting, consultations took place concerning the selection of a caretaker prime minister.

Sources revealed that during the meeting, both the PDM and coalition parties granted PM  Shehbaz the authority to finalize the candidate for the caretaker prime minister.

According to sources from the coalition parties, a consensus was reached to nominate the individual whom Prime Minister Sharif deems suitable for the position of caretaker prime minister.
