ISLAMABAD PANAMA PROBE: One more complaint has been lodged against misconduct by the Panama Papers case Joint Investigation Team (JIT) during its hours-long interrogation, this time by National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) President Saeed Ahmad, ARY News reported on Saturday.

The NBP president has written a letter to the Supreme Court registrar over the alleged mistreatment by the JIT, probing money trail and offshore properties of the Sharif family in line with Panamgate verdict.

Ahmad, in his letter, has alleged the JIT members of misbehaving with him while accusing their behavior towards him as threatening and abusive.

Putting his grievance forward, the NBP President opined that he was interrogated as if he was a death sentence convict.

He also complained of grilling for over 12 hours by the JIT in three [consecutive] sessions during which he was made to wait for five hours after the first session.

Ahmad opined that the treatment was sheer violation of the apex court’s orders which guaranteed dignity to one being interrogated.

The letter by recently appointed NBP president has been written on June 5.
