LAHORE: Pakistani and Indian Director General Military Operations (DGMO) meeting underway at Wagah border crossing to discuss the border security issues, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

The national anthems of the two countries were recited when DGMO of Pakistan Army Major General Amir Riaz and his Indian counterpart Lieutenant General Vinod Bhatia reached at Wagah Border near Lahore for talks.

The DGMOs meeting after a gap of 14 years to discuss security issues and devise a mechanism to maintain ceasefire at the Line of Control (LoC).

The DGMOs will be assisted by the teams of military officers.

The flare-up along the LoC brought low-level peace talks between the two countries to a halt.
