Bidhya Devi Bhandari was elected as Nepal’s second President. She is the country’s first woman President as well.
According to a press release by Pakistan’s Foreign Office, President Mamnoon Hussain felicitated the newly – elected President of Nepal and expressed the hope that the ties between the two countries will strengthen and expand further in the years ahead to the mutual benefit of the peoples of the two states.
The President of Pakistan also extended best wishes for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Nepal, the release read.
