It should be noted that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had announced the fitness camp in order to improve their skills ahead of the team’s tour to England this summer.
They were rigorously trained under the supervision of Pakistan Army trainers at Kakul military academy. They were asked to do push-ups, lift weights and run on the ground.
The Pakistani cricketers managed to defeat the Pakistan Army trainers in the tug of war competition held during the boot camp.
Former Pakistani Twenty20 captain Shoaib Malik said that the fitness camp helped the team and was thankful to the cricket board and the military for organizing it.
The players will report to the skills camp in Lahore after two days of rest.
