RAWALPINDI: The Pakistani and Malaysian armed forces held joint military exercises in two stages from October 9 to 22 in Malaysia, ARY News quoted ISPR on Tuesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Bilateral Army Exercise Series was held between Pakistan and Malaysian Armed Forces. The exercise commenced on October 9 and culminated on October 22 in Malaysia.
The exercise was based on two stages, namely Cross Training Exercise and Field Training Exercise.
The exercise has greatly benefited both the Malaysian and Pakistan Army to strengthen bilateral relations and establish friendly relations amongst officers and members of both countries by exchanging ideas, knowledge and skills, it concluded.

On October 19, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir had visited an operational air base of Pakistan Air Force to witness the ongoing aerial exercise Indus Shield-2023.
The Air Chiefs of Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Hungary were also among the distinguished guests who witnessed PAF’s 14-nation mega air exercise.
On his arrival, COAS was received by Air Chief Marshal, Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force.
Later, he was introduced to the foreign dignitaries and Principal Staff Officers of Pakistan Air Force.

COAS General Syed Asim Munir, along with esteemed foreign dignitaries, received a comprehensive briefing on the training facility of the Air Power Center of Excellence and the extensive scope of the exercise which is aimed at consolidating modern concepts of aerial warfare, fostering mutual cooperation and enhancing interoperability among the participating air forces, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
While addressing the exercise participants, Chief of Army Staff accentuated the paramount importance of multinational air exercises in the pursuit of common objectives amidst the ever-evolving dynamics of air warfare.
He lauded the professionalism of the exercise participants and extended heartfelt appreciation to the Air Power Centre of Excellence for its state-of-the-art facilities and instrumental role in orchestrating such a large scale air exercise.
