The talks focused on the situation in Afghanistan and on the military operation Pakistan launched earlier this year to destroy militant hideouts in its tribal belt.
Raheel Sharif clarified that the impression of forces not acting against the Haqqani Network are false and unfounded. On the other hand, US forces and security officials praised Pakistan Army’s efforts in war against terror.
The Pakistan Army delegation under the leadership of COAS will visit Capital Hill and will also meet US Congress members.
