The agreement signed by Secretary Economic Affairs Division Tariq Bajwa and ADB’s Country Director to Pakistan Werner Liepach, Radio Pakistan reported.

Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was also present during the signing ceremony. The finance minister said that the federal government will avail all resources in order to develop and improve the transport sector and inter-provincial linkages to boost local connectivity.

“Economic activity will be generated for the progress of  the people of Sindh with the inter-provincial connectivity,” Dar said.

The roads in Sindh, the poorly governed southern province of Pakistan, are mostly dilapidated and direly needed to be renovated and rebuilt to boost the economic activity and connectivity.
