Over 150 people dead in flash floods and landslides, PDMA report

According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PMDA), heavy rains, inundation in streams and drains and flooding have claimed the lives of 152 people.

Also, landslides in Kohat have killed 23 people while more than a thousand houses have been destroyed due to which thousands of people have been rendered homeless.

The report also stated that Malakand and Hazara divisions were the worst affected in the region. This has caused immense losses to the basic infrastructure in the province.

Several government and private properties were damaged where vast lands of crops were destroyed. The road access to various areas of the affected region was cut off due to mudslides in the mountainous areas.
