PESHAWAR: President of Awami National Party (ANP) Asfandyar Wali Khan has said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb has proved to be a milestone for peace in the country, ARY News reported.
He was speaking to media in Peshawar on Sunday.
Khan has said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb has been yielding results. He added that National Action Plan (NAP) was not implemented by the governments.
“It would be unwise of anyone who doesn’t appreciate the services of the army chief,” he said.
The ANP leader stated that it has been their stance since day one that the second most senior officer after General Raheel Sharif should be elevated to the post of army chief after the incumbent completes his term.
