After the recent attacks on Karachi and Peshawar airports, from today onwards, only one attendant can come up to receive and leave passengers at airport.

The restriction will help Airport Security Forces (ASF) keep a proper check on people inside airports.

The move besides easing security work will also facilitate passengers with less crowded airports while families coming up to receive or bid farewell to their loved ones will have to wait outside the airports across the country.

The ban is functional from today and Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Islamabad saw a less than usual crowd after the restriction.

Terror threats after the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan have seen heightened security arrangements at all public places in the country.
