The Model town incident investigation is moving on a faster pace and nine police personnel are arrested for firing straight on protestors.
Those arrested, inclued S.H.O Sabzazar Amir Saleem and eight Elite force personnel namely Rauf, Athar, Naveed, Javed, Mohsin, Imran, Khurram and Shujaat.
The accused were identified through CCTV footage of the tragic incident
and are being investigated by Joint Investigation team in Defence police station.
The arrests have sent panic waves among police ranks while the JIT has claimed that the accused are getting VIP protocol inside the police station.
The tragic incident which saw scores of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers killed sent shock waves across the country for manhandling of protestors and created doubts over provincial government’s involvement in the incident.
