LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the nation has been taken into confidence for holding talks with Taliban, ARY News reported on Saturday. 

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was talking  to media after the awards distribution ceremony of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Lahore.

Nawaz Sharif further said that the committees that have been engaged in talks are fully empowered.

Replying a question Sharif said that his government has given priority to the resolution of the energy crisis in Pakistan. He said that all possible efforts being taken to overcome the power and gas scarcity. He said the supply of electricity and gas to the industries will boost exports and will create job opportunities in the country. 

The prime minister said that the wheel of the industry is now running and the economic indicators of the country have also been improved.
