LAHORE: Ameer Jamat e Islami (JI), Syed Munawwar Hassan has expressed his concerns over the bombings of fighter jets in North Waziristan and demanded the Government to acquire the way of talks instead of using power – ARY News reports.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Munawwar Hassan stated that some 40 people were killed in today's air strikes in North Waziristan. He added that on one hand the Government talks of negotiations with Taliban, but does not make any practical efforts towards this.
The JI Ameer said that 5 months have passed since the entire political leadership had given mandate to the Government to hold dialogue, but it is continuously demonstrating non- seriousness.
He demanded the Government to elaborate why it is not acting upon the decisions made at the All Parties Conference (APC).
