MUMBAI: An extremely depressing case of cruelty to animals has emerged from Mumbai’s Malvani area, where a man threw a cat from the 9th floor of a residential building.
The inhuman act was caught on CCTV. The disturbing video has gone viral on social media, causing public outcry and demands for justice.
In the CCTV video of Mumbai animal cruelty, the cat was standing on a shoe rack near a window when a man, identified as Kasam Sayyed, approached. Initially, he appeared to check the area, then suddenly he picked up the cat and threw it out of the window.
Unfortunately, the cat fell on a metal sheet below and died on the spot.
As soon as the footage was released, residents rapidly identified the suspect, who is reportedly the flat owner in the building.

The Malvani Police have filed a formal complaint, advising litigation under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
