In a cracker attack at a membership camp of MQM in Korangi 29 persons including three Sindh Assembly members Mohammad Hussain, Abdullah Shaikh and Saifuddin Khalid were injured.

Abdul Jabbar, an injured MQM member, succumbed to his injuries in hospital today.

Two militant outfits Jamiat-ul-Ahrar and Jundullah have claimed responsibility of attack on the MQM membership camp in Karachi.

MQM’s London Rabita Committee has urged the government for crackdown against the two militant groups.

In a statement the party committee said that Jamiat-ul-Ahrar, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Jundullah had also attacked earlier over the party offices and its members killing a large number of innocent civilians.
