Morning drizzling turns weather pleasant in Karachi

KARACHI: The weather in the metropolis turned pleasant after gusty winds followed by the light rainfall lashed various areas in the early hours of Sunday morning, sending the temperature down.

Various localities including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Lyari, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Gulistan-e-Johar, Malir and Saddar received an unexpected rainfall.

According to Pakistan Meteorologist Department (PMD), the city is likely to receive light rainfall today.

“A westerly wave is affecting western parts of the country and likely to grip upper and central parts of the country during Sunday and may persist till Monday,” the Met department said.

The PMD has also forecast rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills at scattered places in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore divisions), Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, besides at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, D.G.Khan, Multan, Sahiwal and Bahawalpur divisions.
