More loadshedding of power in coming days, says Asif

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that the country will undergo a spell of increased load shedding in next few weeks due to pressure on the power system, ARY News reported on Thursday. 

According to a statement released by National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) in Lahore, the power minister said that due to annual closure of canals and gas supply to industries, the supply to power plants will be reduced.

The minister said that the government will be forced to increase load shedding for next few weeks.

The minister called the consumers to ensure power saving during the period of shortage of electricity.
