Concerned officials said that the centre of the 4.3 magnitude earthquake was an area 70 kilometre east of Nawabshah.
As the people felt the tremor, they came out of their offices and homes in panic and started reciting Quranic verses and prayers for safety. No casualty was reported.
The health authorities declared alert at hospitals of the city to meet any contingency.
