ABBOTABAD: Food authorities in Abbottabad on Friday arrested a group making synthetic and spurious milk in washing machines with detergent and other chemicals, ARY News reported.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety Authority conducted a raid in various parts of the city against milk sellers. Authorities in the Fawara chowk area arrested five men for preparing the synthetic milk in washing machines using detergent and other harmful chemicals which was supplied to milk sellers across the city.
KP Food Safety Authority assistant director ordered the milk to be drained. Confirming that five people have arrested, he said that a team was being sent to the shops where the milk was being supplied to take samples, and further action will be taken against them.
