ISLAMABAD: No serving military officer be made part of the process of talks with militants, Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah said on Wednesday, ARY News reported. 

Talking to media persons the PPP leader said that the government should on its own hold talks with Taliban. He said the role of the military was neither to hold negotiations nor make deals.

The opposition leader also said that he had no objections to any person's involvement in the peace talks as long as they were not serving personnel of the armed forces.
