A bone-chilling incident was reported from India’s Uttar Pradesh state, where a man allegedly killed his wife by slitting her throat, following a fight over not bringing meat.
According to the Indian Police officials, the accused – identified as Sagir – used to live with his wife namely Guddo and three children.
The accused had a dispute with his wife for not bringing meat. The argument heated up and in a fit of rage, Sagir slit his wife’s neck with a knife in front of his children.
The daughter of the deceased witnessed the entire incident and said there was a fight between her parents regarding meat, after which her father slit her mother’s neck.
Following this, people caught Sagir and handed him over to the police. Police also sent the body for post-mortem.
SP City, Kuldeep Gunawat, said the accused has been arrested and the weapon used in the crime has also been recovered. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
