The incident took place in Gurjaak area where Tariq killed his young daughter Rahma with a sharp object after she refused to give him money for his alcohol addiction, and also injured his wife Afshan.
Police reached the place of incident and arrested the man and also seized the murder weapon. Area residents said that Tariq was an addict and frequently used to beat his wife and daughter.
He demanded money from his wife Afshan to buy some liquor for himself. Upon refusal he came in a fit of anger and attacked her repeatedly with a scissor. His daughter interfered to stop him after which he killed he killed her with a sharp object.
Police have registered a case and started investigations and legal proceedings.
