The rescue officials confirmed death of a person in the blaze. Around six fire tenders reached the spot to douse the fire which had spread to other parts of the building. The factory is located near Ghani Chowrangi of the SITE area.
According to sources, the man who died due to blaze was a gatekeeper of the factory.
The cause of the fire could be ascertained as yet.
ARY correspondent reported that majority of the people trapped in the building were safely evacuated by the rescue teams.
