The man was identified as Qamarul Zaman, who hails from Swabi. He was arrested on charges of burning the national flag.
He was also suspected of raising anti-Pakistan slogans in front of a mob.
According to senior police officer of Faisal Town, he said he had received reports that a man burnt national flag on Aug 13. He said subsequently team was constituted to arrest the man.
He informed that the man had been working as a guard in a security company. The case was registered against him under the Pakistan Penal Code.
