GUJRAT: A shopkeeper accused of blackmailing women customers through objectionable pictures and video footages was apprehended in Gujrat on Saturday, ARY News reported.
The accused, Suhail Tariq, was exposed when a ninth grader girl after getting fed-up of threats tried to commit suicide.
Suhail Tariq has a superstore in Langah village. He would take videos and pictures of the girls, who visited his shop for getting easyload, then blackmail them through doctored images. The culprit also used to jot down their numbers .
Gujrat police said several families had left the village after getting too much annoyed of the accused’s misdeeds.
One such girl attempted suicide, after which her uncle registered an FIR against Suhail at a police station.
Police have recovered a CCTV camera, footages, 117 video clips and over 700 pictures of different women. Further investigation from the arrested accused is underway.
