RAWALPINDI: Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza has been posted as the new Commander Corps V in Karachi, said a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
He is being replaced by Lt. General Naveed Mukhtar.
Lieutenant General Ghayur Mehmood has been posted as Military Secretary at the General Headquarters Rawalpindi.
Lt Gen. Mehmood was presently posted as the Chief of Logistic Staff (CLS) at the GHQ. Lt Gen. Mirza was also the Colonel Commandant of the Punjab Regiment.
These are the first postings and transfers since General Qammar Javed Bajwa assumed charge as Chief of Army Staff.
