Hearing the treason case against the MQM chief, the LHC in its verdict said airing of any statement or picture of Mr. Hussain is banned forthwith. It also said the no news regarding activities of the MQM head should be telecast.
The case was heard by a three-member bench of the LHC.
The court directed the Pakistan Media and Regulatory Authority and other relevant stakeholders to strictly abide by its orders.
The court also summoned record of Mr. Hussain related to his nationality in next hearing.
The petitioner contended in his plea that statements of Mr. Hussain against armed forces were tantamount to treason.
