Unidentified miscreants lobbed a hand grenade near a police station and managed to flee from the scene. Exchange of fire between the police and miscreants also took place.
Several people sustained injuries in the attack.
Twenty of the injured persons were moved to Civil Hospital Karachi. Some of the wounded are said to be in a critical condition.
Police cordoned off the area to collect evidences.
