According to details, Lucman revealed that Ishaq Dar in his letter to IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde maintained that global recession is responsible for the continuous downfall of Pakistan Steel Mills and its financial situation which was a blatant lie. Dar also claimed to restructure the Mill in September. The reason was a lame excuses as Ministry of Industries blamed ‘rampant corruption’ for the situation.
The comeback episode also threw light upon the downfall of once profit making mill in the PPP and PML-N regimes which forced the Supreme Court of Pakistan to take notice of the corruption but to no avail.
