Sources reported that the blaze erupted at Commerce Centre building.
Chief Fire Officer Ihteshamuddin, while speaking to the media, said that all persons were evacuated from the building and more than 20 fire tenders took part in the rescue operation.
Pakistan Navy’s fire brigades also took part in the extinguishing process, he said.
The fire was extinguished after an hour’s struggle.
