According to details, police and intelligence agencies carried out a joint operation in Nazimabad area of the metropolis and nabbed three activists of Al-Qaeda in South Asia. Kalashnikovs, hand grenades and other explosives were seized from the nabbed terrorists.
It is being said that the arrested terrorists were planning to carry out a major terrorist attack in the city.
Moreover, police arrested three most wanted criminals said to be involved in several crimes.
Nine suspects were rounded up from the jurisdiction of Model Town Police Station. Weapons were also recovered from the arrested persons.
New Town Police arrested a drug dealer during a raid and seized one-kilogram of hashish.
On the other hand, cops raided a private hotel located at posh area of Clifton and arrested eight persons who were smoking shisha.
