The JIT met Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader, G M Malik and requested him to grant permission to inspect the site of the incident, which was granted.
The investigation team witnessed the site of firing, took pictures and made footage, however MQI leaders did not answer any questions of the investigating officials.
The JIT also witnessed the surroundings of the PAT Chief’s residence.
On the other hand, PAT information secretary, Qazi Faiz ul Islam clearly stated that PAT does not accept any commission on the Model Town Incident.
He elaborated this stance saying that there is no hope of an impartial probe as long as Shahbaz Sharif is the Chief Minister of Punjab.
