Jahangir Tareen ‘opens’ political office in Lahore

LAHORE: Senior politician Jahangir Khan Tareen has again become active in Pakistan’s political arena as he has reportedly opened his political office in Lahore, ARY News reported, citing sources on Wednesday.

Sources having knowledge of the matter said the former lawmakers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from South Punjab, who recently, parted their ways, met Jahangir Tareen in Lahore.

It was further said that more than 20 important political personalities, whose names are yet to be revealed, have met Jahangir Tareen in Lahore.

Earlier in the month of April, it was reported that a splinter group of former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leaders has ‘proposed’ forming a new political party to contest the upcoming elections.

Members of the Jahangir Khan Tareen (JKT) Group put forth a proposal during an Iftar dinner which was attended by several members of the dissident PTI groups and leaders including Raja Riaz and Awn Chaudhry.
