SRINAGAR: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti asked Indian government to learn lessons from the terrorist attack on two mosques in New Zealand, in which more than 49 Muslims worshipers have been killed so far.
Taking the BJP government to task for its heinous human right abuse in Kashmir post-Pulwama attack of Feb 14, Mufti said, “We all have a lesson or two to learn from it [attack on mosques]. Had the same incident happened here [India], the leadership would have politicised it, indulged in war mongering and covertly supported attacks on Muslims.”
Earlier today, attacks on two Christchurch mosques left at least 50 dead, with one gunman — identified as an Australian extremist — apparently live streaming the assault that triggered the lock-down of the New Zealand city.
The two known targets were the Masjid al Noor in central Christchurch, and a second mosque in suburban Linwood.
