Karachi: Pakistan offers great potential for technology firms as its smartphone and tablet market is exploding, said the marketing head of Nokia’s Near East and North America region on Tuesday.
Patrick Mercanton, who was speaking at the launch of Nokia’s high-end phablets Lumia 1520 and 1320, said that Nokia has carved out a share in the Pakistani marketplace despite the presence of cheap devices using Google’s Android operating system. “Although Windows Phone’s share is still much less than that of Android, figures show that Windows’ sales are gaining momentum each day,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Nokia Pakistan General Manager Arif Shafique said, “This time around, we have truly taken innovation and excitement to another level… This is our way of introducing our devices in a unique mixture of adventure and thrill.”
