BEIJING: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday emphasized on the relations with African countries in a meeting with his Ethiopian counterpart Abiy Ahmed.
According to details, the two leaders met each other on the sidelines of One Belt One Road Forum taking place in the Chinese capital.
During the meeting, topics pertaining to international issues, regional situation and other matters of mutual interest also came under discussion.
Prime Minister Khan further suggested to boost trade and political activities while seconding the idea of bilateral exchange of high level delegation.
“Pakistan has been expanding its ties with African countries,” he said adding that the promotion of commercial activities would require people-to-people contact between the two sides.
PM Khan asserted that Pakistan will always play its role in maintaining peace and stability in Africa.
Prime Minister Imran arrived in Beijing on Thursday night on a four-day tour, to attend the 2nd Belt and Road Forum on the invitation extended by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
