ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Friday lauded the government of his party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province for bringing an amendment to Civil Procedure Code seeking disposal of civil cases within a span of one year.
In a tweet, the PTI chief said, “I want to congratulate the KP govt for achieving another first for the province: the amendment of the Civil Procedure Code done in consultation with the PHC [Peshawar High Court] mandating the courts to decide civil cases within 1 yr plus a host of reforms to update existing archaic laws and practices.”
The KP government had termed the amendment as its revolutionary step with its spokesperson saying that it would ensure provision of justice to the people at the earliest.
