Whilst most of Bollywood’s leading actors, directors and producers might feel bad about Sunny Leone’s controversial past as an adult actress, the Mastizaade actress stated that she was not ashamed of her past as an adult actress.

“I am who I am. My past has made me what I am today,” the star explained. “I’m not ashamed of it. I am here in India to start a new life, do good things and be part of a world that I never thought could happen to me. That way I am living a dream.”

“I don’t know about shedding any image because I can’t do that. It’s not in my hands,” Leone explains. “All I can do is be myself, work hard and hopefully make better movies and become a better actress. So when people see me playing different roles onscreen, their perception will automatically change.”

Sunny Leone stated that her past was what had made her today in the Indian film industry. The sultry damsel had made her debut in 2012 with Jism 2 opposite Randee Hooda. Though Sunny Leone has starred in a couple of films ever since, several Bollywood A-list actors have opposed starring with her in movies due to her controversial past.
