Homecoming of two Afghan soldiers by FC who crossed over into Pakistan

CHAMAN: Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan FC on Wednesday handed over two Afghan soldiers to Afghan authorities at Chaman who were previously arrested by the authorities for illicitly crossing over to Pakistan.

The soldiers, identified as Hayatullah and Lateefullah Khan, had crossed the border into Pakistan and were arrested by FC personnel. The gesture of returning serving personnel of the Afghan National Army (ANA) and Afghan Border Police was taken on humanitarian grounds.

According to ISPR, the return of serving Afghan National Army and Afghan Border Police soldiers is on humanitarian grounds as good will gesture.

This improvement came after Afghanistan confirmed killing of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan leader Mullah Fazlullah in a drone strike in Kunar.

Mullah Fazlullah was named TTP chief after the death of Hakimullah Mehsud in a drone strike in November 2013.

As per army’s media, Mullah  Fazlullah was hiding in the neighboring country since 2009, furthermore the terrorist leader “masterminded scores of terrorist attacks against Pakistan including on APS.”
