LAHORE: Punjab police has recovered a three-year-old girl, Hiba Jannat, who was kidnapped yesterday by an unidentified person from the roadside in Shad Bagh area of the Lahore.
The spokesperson of the Punjab chief minister, Dr. Shahbaz Gill, informed of the development on his official Twitter account in the wee hours of Thursday.
Posting a picture along Hiba, her family and police officials, Gill wrote, after tireless efforts the entire day, the reportedly kidnapped minor girl was found.
“The innocent child has been handed over to parents,” he said.
Gill requested in his tweet that, “We all need to play our part to curb such incidents from the society.”
The footage which was acquired by ARY News showed that the girl was walking beside the road, reportedly with her four-year-old brother, when the alleged abductor came closer to the children and gripped the hand of Hiba Jannat and vanished from the location.
However, the alleged kidnapper left her brother and took away the girl with him.
