LAHORE: Heavy dust and rain storm hit Lahore on Tuesday evening leaving three people including two children dead, while dozens injured in various rain-related incidents.
Strong winds broke the heat wave spell in Lahore yesterday evening leaving several trees uprooted and quite a few windows shattered.
According to reports, a building collapsed near Khara Chowk in Raiwind killing an eight-year-old while another child lost his life while three people were left injured when a building in Pollarwan Pind in Paragon City Collapsed. The affected were taken to services hospital and their condition is said to be stable.
The storm also resulted in another building collapse near Do Dosaku Chowk Grand Place Marriage Hall killing a 58-year-old man while injuring three others. The injured were shifted to Shahdara Hospital.
According to the Rescue officials reports 52 rain-related accidents were reported across the city mostly involving motorcyclists slipping on wet roads.
