GUJRANWALA: Two students were killed when a passenger van crashed into a truck here on Friday, ARY News reported.
The van crashed into the truck near Tatlay Aali area of Gujranwala, killing two students on the spot and injuring 12 of its passengers.
Rescue 1122 teams reached the scene and shifted the injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Nowshehra for treatment.
Police has launched the investigation of the van-truck collision. “The incident took place due to over-speeding,” police said.
Pakistan has one of the world’s worst records for fatal traffic accidents, blamed on poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving.
