General Sharif met the Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni, and held a detailed discussion on regional security.
During the meeting, the Italian FM commended Pakistan Army as symbol of great hope for peace and stability of the region and the entire world.
The COAS also visited Defense and Security Industrial Group in Rome to explore wider defense collaboration and cooperation.
Moreover, the army chief visited Air Defense Headquarter of Italian Army in the field, where he was briefed in detail on weapon systems, doctrine and training.
