The meeting between the COAS and Gen Campbell was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The two military commanders shared views on future strategy for the continuity of the Afghan reconciliation process.
On the occasion, General John Campbell hailed Pakistan’s achievements in the operation Zarb-e-Azb and said the role of Pakistan Army was of critical importance for peace in the region.
After the meeting, the US commander laid a floral wreath on martyrs’ monument honoring the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army troops.
