KARACHI: Unknown terrorists blew up a gas pipeline near Manghopir area of Karachi, ARY News reported on Thursday.
According to sources, the saboteurs blown up a 16 inch diameter gas pipeline adjacent to Hub River near Manghopir, suspending gas supply to surrounding areas.
An IED was detonated to destroy the pipeline, the bomb squad officials said. Around 500 grams explosives were used in the blast.
Gas utility Sui Southern Gas Company’s officials said that the repair work of the pipeline has been started and will take six hours for restoration of the gas supply to the affected area.
