A panchayat had decided earlier this week to give the girl as Vani in marriage to a boy, 14, in order to settle what was alleged to be a murder dispute.
Four men who been have arrested are said to be signatories of the panchayat verdict.
Vani is a cultural custom found in some tribal areas of Pakistan wherein young girls are forcibly married as part of punishment for a crime committed by her male relatives.
