Achakzai announced his decision during a press conference alongside Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri and provincial interior minister Mir Sarafaz Bugti and other prominent member of the party.

He said that Balochistan will witness peace and prosperity under the leadership of Sanauallah Zehri.
CM Zehri welcomed Achakzai into the party and said it indicted that dedicated and capable people were joining the PML-N. He said that the present government will bring real development to the people of Pakistan.
Achakzai quit the JUI-F in September 2015 after differences with some party leaders. He has some party leaders had initiated propganda against him after failing to comprehend his views.
