Sources told that the fire erupted in the engine after which the plane was filled with thick smoke. As a consequence, a wave of panic swept across the passengers and some of them jumped out of the plane on their own, meanwhile crew members also responded to the incident quickly, safely evacuating all of the passengers through the emergency exit.
It was further reported that fire-tenders have reached out to the plane at the Karachi airport and are currently busy extinguishing the fire.
However, the cause of flare is yet to be ascertained.
