Firdous Awan said her statement was completely quoted out of context.
Earlier in the day, Awan reportedly hit out at Ghulam Sarwar, who was removed from his post as the federal minister for petroleum and assigned the aviation ministry instead, the minister, according to reports, had criticised his role in the petroleum ministry. “The petroleum ministry was looted, that’s why the minister was changed,” the reports quoted her as saying.
In reaction, Ghulam Sarwar said the statement by the minister was “irresponsible.”
Reports made rounds five days ago that Ghulam Sarwar Khan had refused to take alternate ministry after major reshuffling in the federal cabinet.
As per details, the erstwhile minister for petroleum Ghulam Sarwar Khan was given ministry of Aviation, but he denied assuming charge of it, sources said.
